Family Art Club is a programme of interactive workshops in which artists shared their skills with children and their relatives.

Workshops took place every first and third Saturday of the month at St.Mary’s Market, from noon until 4pm.

The FREE workshop programme attracted more that 1000+ participants and was curated and produced by Platform Artist Studios, with 30+ artists and assistants contributing to sessions.

The 2015 programme of workshops included a wide range of artistic activities including sculptural textiles, creating superheroes with mobile phones and exploring St Helens’ industrial and coal mining past. Also on offer were workshops to learn monoprinting, designing a paper shopping bag and the opportunity to create an interactive fabric map of the town.

2016 included printing making, making art works out of words, song writing and photography.
