Ever wanted to be on the radio? Been harbouring disc jockey dreams or drivetime desires?
Join Hunt & Darton for a whistlestop tour of the world of radio presenting. This FREE two day workshop will get your fingers on the buttons and your voice on the airwaves, introducing you to the key skills involved in hosting a show on the radio. Conduct interviews, compose jingles, brush up on your banter - and bring everything together for your own bespoke broadcast.
There’s even an opportunity to have your vocal stylings included as part of Hunt & Darton’s live show, Radio Local on Saturday 20th April, which will be performed and broadcast live from Cherry Tree Shopping Centre, Liscard, and on Radio Wirral, a digital station crafted for Wirral by Wirral people.
The Radio Local workshop is free, fun and suitable for ages 8+. (Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult)
Hunt & Darton are a decade-long Live Art collaboration between Jenny Hunt and Holly Darton. They are self-taught Radio Presenters within their Radio Local project - making a brand new hyper-local radio station, with locals, for locals.
Supported by Arts Council England. Commissioned by Heart of Glass. Presented in partnership with Wirral Council, as part of Wirral Borough of Culture 2019.
The workshop will take place over two days, you must be available to attend both days of the workshop and booking is essential:
