Access Information

Halewood Park Triangle is an accessible outdoor space, with flat access throughout. Wrap up warm and dry as we never know what the weather will be like once we head outdoors.

Join us to celebrate the launch of Following the Roots: Stories of Halewood, a new sculpture trail inspired by Halewood’s history. Created by artist Frances Disley in collaboration with Halewood residents, this event is a special opportunity to walk the trail through the forest together with the artist.

The forest is a place that enriches and supports the community - a place to meet, gather and share stories. This trail of sculptures tells the human tales of Halewood intertwined with the wisdom of the trees. It brings to life the unique stories of the area and explores the special relationship between residents of Halewood and this forest.

Throughout history, various tree species have been considered to have special qualities. Artist Frances Disley has paired stories and memories collected from local residents, with tree species in the forest, to represent the coexistence of people and place.

Maps of the trail will be available to collect for free, from Halewood Environment Centre, printed on recycled paper. A digital download is also available below, to view on your phone or mobile device.
