- Exhibition,
- Collectivity
Opening at Parr Library on International Women’s Day, the exhibition is the culmination of the group's activity last summer. During that time Kate worked with the families to experiment with print techniques, explore the art form’s role as a way to disseminate political messages and learn new skills.
Through these print-making workshops, along with the group’s passion for crafting, the collective have produced a series of posters, t-shirts and tote bags that will go on display in the library.
Kate is an artist who believes in the power of print to shape and shift conversations. She is Artistic Director at the Royal Standard gallery in Liverpool, and Print Workshop Facilitator at The Bluecoat.
Always Full was commissioned by Heart of Glass, working in partnership with Torus Housing, as part of the Independents Biennial 2018.
LAUNCH EVENT: Friday, 8th March, 3pm to 4.30pm at Parr Library.
This is a free drop in event for all the family with refreshments. Accessible toilet, ramp and parking available.
