Shared Reading means reading aloud, together, pausing for discussion. You can sit back and relax, or you can read and share your ideas.
We will read, reflect and feel inspired together. Shared Reading is for everyone, whether you love books or have never read before. Come for a friendly chat and to hear brilliant texts read out loud - no pressure to read aloud, and no need to prepare anything – just turn up. We will provide reading materials on the day:
Sessions at The Book Stop
Tuesdays 12th, 26th September and 10th October, 11.30am - 1pm, 11 Bridge Street, St Helens WA10 1NN
This Shared Reading group meets every two weeks at The Book Stop, and is open to new members! During A Sense of Green, we will read about environments and landscapes from around the world and discuss how people change, live with and think about these places.
Sessions at Shakespeare North Playhouse
Tuesday 19th September, 1pm - 2.30pm, Prospero Place, Prescot L34 3AB
We'll explore some of the real and imaginary places in Shakespeare’s writing.
Shakespeare North hosts regular sessions that are free to attend, but places are limited so booking is required via Emily.parr@shakespearenorthplayhouse.co.uk. They meet every Thursday (11.15am - 12.30pm) and Friday (3.30pm - 4.45pm).

Thursday 21st and 28th September, 2pm - 3pm, Roseheath Drive, Halewood L26 9UH
Halewood Library hosts regular sessions that are free to attend, but places are limited so booking is required via Louisa.Taylor@knowsley.gov.uk.
