Kathryn Edwards

Merseyside based Kathryn Edwards has been a working artist and illustrator for the past 15 years. She combines the processes of line drawing, watercolour painting and various printmaking techniques to create stand-alone artworks, photographs and illustrations that are packed with feelings of nostalgia and personality.

Previously a singer songwriter, Kathryn still satisfies her musical side by writing children's songs for creative trails and workshops at museums, galleries and outreach settings across the UK, these include The National Gallery in London, The Whitworth in Manchester, and the Lady Lever in Liverpool.

Her artistic practice revolves around causing a reaction, whether that be vocally or a visually obvious emotional response. Seeing these true reactions enables her to see the subject through the eyes of the viewer.
