21 On Now

Kate is a visual artist from St Helens who works across the Northwest. Her practice explores how art can be democratic and taken outside the confines of a gallery space. Kate works across many different mediums but is particularly drawn to print and performance. She is interested in language and text, stemming from her obsession with slogan t-shirts.

Kate works collaboratively in her practice often with local communities. She has worked on projects based in Parr and Eccleston, including Always Full, and is currently working on ‘Swap Shop’ a project for young women in Parr.

Kate teaches print workshops at Bluecoat in Liverpool and works at Salford print studio Hot Bed Press. When she isn’t printmaking she enjoys shopping (for more slogan t-shirts) and petting dogs.
